This week Jamie is going to be sharing some of the amazing details from the beautiful celestial baby shower she threw me, so I thought I'd keep within the theme and show off some celestial earrings I have been coveting. Jamie has dispensed the wise advice that once you have a baby, your dangly earring days are over and you must convert to the hassle-free stud earring lifestyle, which will be a big change for me. For a long time I never wore stud earrings because I thought they made my ears look big, but either I've grown into my ears or I've grown out of being self-conscious of them, so I've been trying some studs out!
Here are some celestial earrings that I've been wanting to get before the baby comes. The first one, The Constellation Ear Crawler Set, comes from Bauble Bar. (FYI, according to Bauble Bar, "ear crawlers are essentially elongated stud earrings, and are worn like any other post-back earring." Learn something new everyday!) The earring is shaped like a mini constellation and comes with a single five-pointed star stud, that you could either wear in the other ear- or if you have two holes, in the same ear, which makes me want to go out and get another piercing! The set includes four pieces so you can mix and match however you like. It comes in 14K gold, Rose Gold or Indigo/Hematite. I am totally obsessed with the Rose Gold version and since I began writing this post they might have magically ended up in my shopping cart. But for $32 with free shipping and returns, who could blame me?! Plus, if it's your first time shopping at Bauble Bar you get a 15% off code when you register your email.
The next earring set comes from one of our favorite stores, Catbird, and is another mix and match kind of earring. Instead of a starry constellation, you could have a crescent moon and simple star shining brightly on your earlobe. You buy the studs individually so you can either buy two moons or two stars or a star and a moon, which is the route I would personally take. They are simple and pretty, much like all of Catbird's beautifully designed jewelry. The 14k yellow gold and rose gold ones are $48 per earring and the silver ones are $28 per earring. You could even mix a gold moon with a silver star!
I'm also dying over these star earrings earrings, by designer Sehti Na, at Catbird, but given the price they are more of a daydream than probable purchase, but really what is internet shopping good for if not daydreaming about gorgeous jewelry that’s too impractical and expensive for your lifestyle!
Sigh. They are really lovely!
Do you have any stud earring suggestions for this next phase of my life? I'm all ears (!)
