I know - Superbowl Sunday is all about kicking back with a beer, nice and simple. But if you're looking for something just a little more interesting yet still easy to serve a crowd, this punch spotlights the beer, with an added little kick. It's similar to a traditional Mexican Michelada, but not as heavy in that tomato-juice-and-Worcestershire kind of way. I love how light and refreshing it feels, but still beer-y enough, as a sporting event beverage should be. And the hot sauce is great for cutting through the plate-fulls of nachos and other indulgent foods I'm bound to scarf down on game day. We adapted it to make a pitcher, so you can share with everyone on your team.

Happy Superbowl weekend! Whoever you root for (and if you say Katy Perry, we won't judge), may it be an afternoon of kicking back in a cozy way with good friends...or at least some munchies. In mid-winter, we need all the celebrations we can get!
