Nothing says summer like a pitcher of sangria. We love this sangria recipe for parties because it's easy to whip up a big batch so you don't spend the entire party making cocktails and the grapefruit gives it a pretty pinky hue adding a punch of color to any celebration. The grapefruit paired with the riesling and simple syrup also creates a perfect balance of tart and sweet, making it crisp and refreshing. And In our opinion, adding Prosecco to anything makes it better. The bubbles give it an extra zing that just feels more celebratory. It's the perfect cocktail to welcome in the summer season this weekend!
Chop up the grapefruit and strawberries and put the slices in a large pitcher. Keep some for garnish!
Add 1 bottle of Riesling, 1 bottle of Prosecco, 1 cup of grapefruit juice, 1/2 cup of simple syrup and a 1/2 cup of club soda. Pop the pitcher in the fridge and let the fruit flavors develop, put on a summer playlist and wait for your friends to come over! If you make it more than an hour in advance, add the Prosseco right before serving so the bubbles don't fizzle out.
Happy Summer! Cheers!
